It is almost the last week of September 2011. Time is running out in such a bizarre pace, making me lost my track of days. Even so, I will never forget this two historical dates for myself, 9th and 15th of Sept 2011.

9th - My first oral examination for our Company Procedure. Did quite well, and I was qualified to proceed for the Technical/System part.

15th - I passed the Technical/System part!

Where is it? Kudat Golf & Marina Resort

The first photo is taken at Tanjung Simpang Mengayau, better known as the tip of Borneo. Well guys, I was in Kudat for 3 days right after I was done with my oral examination for the Technical/System part. It was a last minute plan, so I was quit rushing going there. Why Kudat? Here's the answer;

My girlfriend is currently mapping the roads in Kudat, and has been there for about 2 weeks before I came to visit her. Like always, accommodation is provided for her, and yeah, I stayed in Kudat for free!

I like Kudat so much, this place reminds me of my hometown. Life is easy and chillax, the air is clean, the people are friendly, time goes by slowly, in fact I was surprised to find out I have so much hours to spend in Kudat.

Foods are cheap too. A slice of cake for RM1, a whole ikan bakar for RM7 (not a ikan kembung okay?) , and I finally managed to end my craving for Murtabak Sayur (my girlfriend said it is also known as Murtabak Jawa) but it did not taste the same as the one I had back in Labuan Matriculation College.

July in Penang!

I never thought that I would be finally visiting this state. So, Penang checked! Northern region all visited, now states in the East Coast entering the checklist. I am not interested about the Southern region though.

On Saturday, I was touring the island, been to Batu Feringhi and Bukit Bendera. Quite disappointed because it was foggy the whole day, and I cannot see the entire island from Bukit Bendera. Still, the train ride was cool.

It is already the last weekend for May 2011. Time pass by like bullet train. Being 24 now, I still cannot believe that numerical figure reflects my current age! It is weird talking to someone younger than you, and their presence make me feel so old. 2011..... it has been 5 years plus of me residing here, a place of which the distance is around 3 hours from my hometown (by air transportation anyway).

The last week of May means Gawai Dayak is approaching but sadly like always, since 5 years ago, I never celebrate Gawai Dayak with my family anymore. Then suddenly when I called my mom just now, I feel like I am going home next weekend. Fortunately, my cousin's wedding will be on the 4th, so it's like hitting two birds with a stone.

Since I had gotten myself the long awaited license, I can feel the pressure to establish is getting higher. I am exhausted, I need rest but my mind keeps on telling me I am out of time. Internal conflicts, always hard to solve.

I need more songs like the one above. Calming, inspiring..

Since two or three months ago, I have been thinking of getting a new pair of shoes for outing. I never buy any before for the reason of my super tight budget. Luckily in April, I was given the chance to generate extra bucks by working overtime. Well thanks to Myanmar International Airlines and their Airbus 320 for providing the extra job demands, and for making me experiencing the most exhausting week I ever been into since 2008.

Forget about the extra work, I just want to talk about the pair of shoes that purchased today. By having extra cash in my wallet, I decided not to wait any longer. At first I was targeting any pair of Converse products but after trying a few, I finally found out that it is very hard to match my taste of shoes to the shape of my feet. I have wide feet and that contributes to the difficulties of matching them with any Converse shoes.

When I almost give up of buying any, while looking around for one of my friends, I came across an Adidas factory outlet in The Summit. The friend was there, testing a few pairs of shoes. To my surprise, the price tags are not as high as I expected. So quickly, I tried my luck finding any lovable pairs. Then again, my feet shape limits my choices...

I almost leave the outlet empty handed, but I was not satisfied because I do not want to waste my time hunting for shoes again. So I went for another round over their shoes, and finally I decided to grab Adidas Samba. It's an old school model, but yeah, it is the only one which fit my feet well. The price tag says RM210, but I get 30% discount, which means I just paid RM150. Thanks for a stranger who was willingly allowing me to join him getting the discount. One thing about this outlet, if you just purchase a single item, you will need to pay as per the price tag, two items, you will get a 20% discount, 3 items and more, you will get 30% discount.

Anybody still playing this game? It was released in 2006 and quickly gained the fames and won many awards such as the base real time strategy game for that year. A bit of descriptions for the game; the main plot is the historical WW2 events for the American (Able Company), based on a story line given by survivors of the war I guess. The campaign started with the D-Day, also known as Normandy landings, of which marked the starting of Allied invasion of Normandy. Thousands of lives gone on that day, as narrated once you finished the first mission.

Those who love the game will eventually find out how addictive the game is. Just like any other real time strategy games, for example Starcrafts, Red Alert, Command & Conquer, etc... this game requires you to wisely use all the units available to capture strategic and resources points, as well as managing them during one on one combat with the opposing troops. If the unit survive, and gains veterancy, this will make the unit more efficient in the game. The best thing about veterency is, you can recall and deploy these units from the previous mission for your current game.

Well actually, I was not intending to talk about the game, as I think most of you will just search for the informations in Wikipedia. Here, I would like to share a short clip I made using the video file from the game directory. No, not just the video which would interest you, it's the background music that I want you to listen to. It's the second last week of April 2011. Just been informed that I am going to have my LWTR oral examination/assessment next week on the 27th. The thing is, I never get any call for it, leaving me wondering is it really going to happen or not.

I am on my one week leave now, enjoying the comfort of my own room and space. It has been such a tiring days last week because I was doing some over time works on an A320. Yea, A320! Such a cool aircraft. Thinking I need to rest completely and have to do heavy revisions on my studies, I decided to use 5 of my entitled annual leaves. It's worth, the only thing I am missing is, a few ATRs coming in for checks. Still, after picturing the stupid bloody lazy asshole brainless taichi master technician, I think I better enjoy my leaves.

Before I know about the oral date, I was actually planning to complete this song, "Shadow". It is a request from a friend, asking me to create something that can be use for a slide show presentation specially for her brother's big day. It is always hard to start something without any inspiration, and my injured fingers just added the difficulties since I cannot even form any notes or chords on my guitar. It is recovering now but still, the pain is there. Alright, here is the song;

Basically, now I am stuck just with that part. I cannot think of how to proceed from there because right now I am worrying about my own examination, of which is more important. That's all for now, enjoy the short song.

Lazy Saturday Afternoon

Like many other weekends that I had gone through, this 3rd weekend of March is just the same. Without knowing or planning to do anything for the weekend is kind of killing. Usually, people will plan bunch of stuffs to do during their weekend, but not me. So like always, my weekend would be spent for sleeping or guitar, else, sometimes I might do a major clean up for my bedroom. Always feel the need to do some revision, but yeah, staying in the room will never help at all. It's dull!! Plus with guitars around, I will eventually end up strumming those strings.

March 2011, I am not sure if everyone would agree to this conclusion. Recalling March 2010, I remember it was the starting point for the hot weather throughout the country. I remember my housemates would plan to spend the weekend in any mall, to make full use of their air conditioning system. I remember my housemates suddenly decided to install air conditioning system in their rooms. But not for this year, it's kind of weird that the hot season seems no where to get started, I appreciate it though. Better stay with this weather.

Anyway, here I would like to share part of my work yesterday, on my lazy Saturday afternoon.

I am still working on this song, apparently not knowing how to do the verse part. This part can just be the intro, solo, or outro. I promise that I will come out with a better quality of audio, just wait for maybe months. Hahahaha... Will be busy with revisions. March is nearing the end. Still, I am waiting for that magical call from 038871XXXX. It is a long wait you know! I am not getting any younger so please give me the call! I am sick, I am angry, I am desperate for your voice!

For the whole week, I was quite busy repainting my electric guitar. I started with dismantling every single part of the guitar. Strings removed, disconnected the neck from the body, removed the tuning machines from the headstock, tremolo bridge, pick ups, switch and potentiometers also removed. Then I began the work with sanding the body. It was quite a tedious job. Requires a lot of patient.

The original color of my guitar is flaming red, of which I think is a very dull color. Here's the guitar before my paint job. The picture is not mine, but the guitar inside this picture is 100% similar to mine.

After sanding, I masked the whole body, and cut out my desired pattern out of the masking before started to apply black paint on it. While waited for the paint to dry, I sand off the Santa Cruz logo from the headstock, sand it thoroughly until even the black background is removed.

I continued applying the black paint on the body till the black layer is thick enough to cover the original red color. Once the paint dried off, I removed the masking, re-masked the body, and cut out another pattern from this new masking. Then I applied the white paint on it. Now you notice the pattern is actually a mixture of red, black and white. While waiting for the white paint to dry, I drew my 'QPX ' logo on the headstock.

Once the white paint for the body is ready, I gave my final touch on the pattern before applying the lacquer paint on the body. Sand here and there, outlining the white pattern with a marker pen and wrote 'ALICIA' on it. It is just a small writing tho somewhere near the bridge.

I proceeded to apply the lacquer on both the body and the headstock. I regret that though because I was way too excited and rushing to do it. The surface was not clean and not even ready for the final process. I did spoiled the pattern when I started to apply the lacquer. Hmmm.... Since I was under pressure to finish the paint job by today, I just carried on applying the lacquer. I need the guitar today, badly.

Used up 3 cans of lacquer paint, still the finishing is not satisfying due to imperfect surface and spraying technique. Still have a lot to learn. Once the lacquer dried, now it's the time to do the wiring. The weekend before, I followed Tzy Wen to Jalan Pasar, looking for replacement parts. I was looking for 2 potentiometers, knobs, capacitor, and a female 6.3mm jack. Bought guitar nut and new strings as well. The potentiometers cannot be found in Jalan Pasar. I bought 'em in Sungey Wang Plaza.

After the lacquer dried, I started my wiring work. I modify the stock wiring to Ibanez Gio GRX140 configuration.

After re-wiring is done, tested it, and yeah, everything is working well, in fact, better than the old configuration in my opinion. Here's my 'new' guitar. QPX Alicia

Okay, that's my simple wish for CNY 2011. My main intention of blogging today is nothing more other than sharing my pieces of musics. I had a song posted in Youtube weeks ago but I never share it here. Titled as "Ethnic", the song was actually started back in 2009, in the time when I never use Guitar Pro software. Influenced by addicting song from Coldplay, "Life in Technicolor", Ethnic itself is composed with a looping track of which I made by simulating Sarawakian native strings instrument, sape, using Nylon guitar preset in Guitar Pro 6. Like always, no lyrics is written for it. Here it goes:

In my own point of view, Ethnic is such a unique song with strings of memories attached to it, but those memories are just mine and not to be shared here as well. Haha..

Okay, now lets move to my next song. A brief introduction about this piece, I wrote it without knowing or figuring out the title that I should give it. It was completed yesterday morning, and was uploaded to Youtube just before noon. Finally I decided to name it as, "Shout, Scream and Run", and seriously I do not have any idea why I chose that phrase as the title. Anyway, here it is, hope you will enjoy it. Genre: Punk / Pop punk Rock.

I found the solo part for this song is a bit addictive. Haha... Again, Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

D minor

While I am having such a great time resting, finally I managed to completely write my old song into GP6. It's been quite a pain in the ass because I never really been to a proper music class and determining tempo and beats always hard for me. It is easier to just take my guitar and play than writing the notes.

I composed the song in September 2009, focusing on the D minor chord. While experimenting on how would I progress with the chord, I managed to come out with this music.

That's the clip I uploaded in 2009, I plugged in my guitar directly to my computer, and using Audacity, I recorded the song, converted it to mp3, and made this clip with Windows Movie Maker. When I wrote Senseless, I thought to myself that I should transform the clip above into GP6 as well. So here it goes, the same song written with GP6, but added with a second guitar and a bit of percussions.

One whole week of rest, which I planned to do heavy revisions on subjects that I have to cover in order to prepare myself. Not really a nice holiday then.. duhhh..

What have I done in December? Well, on the Christmas Day itself, I canceled my plan to go back to Lundu, and I went to Perlis instead, attending my friend's wedding. Finally, I've stepped onto the Northern land of Malaysia. Quite satisfied since it is actually one of my aim - to explore the whole Malaysia. Now, left my very own Sarawak, Sabah, East Coast and Southern Peninsula. Just wait, I'll cover one by one.

During my trip to Perlis, I sneaked into Siam twice, which was to Padang Besar and Hat Yai. Damn, Siam is really the place for food hunting. Everything they sell on the sidewalk really taste great. It's always the sauce that make the taste special. I think I have to go there once more.

Okay, my main reason to blog today is just to share this song with you guys. I composed it yesterday, completed it before midnight. Here it goes..

Submitted my application for an examination. To think about it, I kind of bugging myself with extra stuffs to study for. Have to focus/study really hard and smart for this coming months. Somehow, I decided to escape from this situation just for a while. Luckily there's a wedding to attend up there in the Northern region. Means, I am not going back for Christmas Day but visiting a friend of mine instead. Let's call it as a short rest then.

I found a very memorable song clip in my documents folder. It was one of my project started in 2008, but somehow stuck in the middle of accomplishment due to some misunderstanding issues. A little bit information on the project:

Dull Saturday

After a week of different daily routine, which is waking up at 6 am, travel to and fro for 2 hours in total, reach home at 8pm the earliest, I am kind of tired going through the same pattern. Surprisingly, due to adjusted to waking up early, by 7am this morning I was wide awake and fresh. Gladly, I did my laundry, had a good breakfast, tidy up my room, and spent a few moment surfing the net.

The 5 days I spent in KLIA were actually a big disappointment for me. Together with another 4 of my batch mates, we were deployed to Maintenance Operation Department, doing our departmental visit in the Maintenance Control Center (MCC). The MCC is responsible to monitor aircraft's movement, monitor defects in technical logs, scheduling the aircrafts for out of phase maintenance work, change of aircraft (if any aircraft is grounded), and few more responsibilities as per stated in the Maintenance Operation Manual.

Like always, without any briefing from the training school, we were thrown to the department, just knowing we were given a list of stuffs that supposed to be learned from each departments we're going to visit. No spoon-feeding. The most egoistic phrase of which already adopted well in our minds. A list of stuffs, and that's it, you are on your own. As for me, I was not prepared for the visit. There is a thing about this visit, it's not about wandering around taking photos or greeting people, it is actually to do/experience on job training with the department. So, without knowing much about the department, you will actually lost and wasting your time for the visit.

The best thing you can do before going there is get a copy of MOM which available in EMDOCS, start to read and understand it. Talk to LAEs, seniors and whoever possible to gain extra informations about MCC. Get your copy of MCC induction training OJT record (MOM 10-4-11-02) as those stuffs that you actually suppose to know is listed there, get familiar with MASTRO, gain a little knowledge on how the ACARS works, informations on raising ATP, MREIA and so on. One more thing, study MR1 and MR2 procedures. The MCC stuffs will eventually ask a lot of situational question. So with knowledge of this stuffs, you can actually ask them before they start asking you! <--that's the main purpose of this visit.

Training school won't give guidance much of this matters unless your batch is performing well (though were neglected as well before), the dickhead in training school will gladly offer to conduct a briefing with you before you go for your departmental visit. Well, that's what I heard from my sister batch, they are lucky to at least have a briefing. Although it's sound fishy as everyone knows the dickhead's care is actually a tool for himself to get acknowledgement from higher management, for your part, gain as much informations as possible from him (he's a dickhead maybe, but still he got something). If you are unlucky like my batch, especially avionics batches, don't just sit down whining about your fate, but work hard for your own sake instead.

Okay, enough about MCC and training school. This is how I spent my Saturday afternoon with Alvin James. We were suppose to have a bedroom karaoke session when suddenly I have to restart my pc. While waiting for rebooting, I change the input to my amp from the mic receiver to my guitar, and play around with those available effects. Ended up to effects #73, I played a D-major to A-major, then I realize it sounds not bad so I called Alvin to play the guitar while I play my bass. He has a good strumming style and tempo if compared to me. We jammed while writing it. Cool!

Remember kakigames.com? It is the site that I worked on before. A few months ago, it was hacked by this d3lpoter dumbass for no reason. Almost giving up on fixing it but somehow last night I stayed up till 0500 hours figuring out on how to bring the site back alive!

The first thing I did was logging on to my cPanel, looking the the SQL database with the hope it's still there. At first I was glad to notice the database is still available but not long afterwards, I realize the available database is actually belong to the subdomain! The database for the main site was gone, and my biggest mistake is, I never make any backup since months ago. I think this is a good lesson to be learnt. Other folders are still there undisturbed. So this d3lpot3r dumbass was just messing with the SQL database.

Initially, my plan was to carry own a fresh Wordpress installation, but without the SQL database, I will have to start from zero, all the posts will be gone, basically, all the settings will be gone too. Then I decided to contact my webhost, HostSo , for assistance. I was very confident that they can recover my missing SQL database. At around 0300 hours, I contacted their technical service department through the 'live chat' function on their site. Thanks God, they manage to restore the database. I quickly checked the site, and fuhhhhh....it is back online. The next thing I did was upgrading Wordpress to the latest version. I hope after this upgrade, the sites' data will be more secured.

Suffer a deep cut on my finger, by accident.

Thought of clearing the house compound by cutting down some bushes, but I ended up swinging the knife onto my left index finger.

At first, I thought my knife had successfully hit the target but at the same time, I felt that finger was hit by something.

I wanted to prank my friends, so I jokingly screamed in pain. After a while, I realized blood is dripping from my finger, and by that time, I noticed that the pain is real. OMG, I quickly wash the cut with tap water. My friends came to help. One of them tied the base of my finger with a string, and drove me to a nearby clinic for and emergency treatment.

There, I manage to experience my first time being stitched right in front of my eyes. Cool!

Acer V203H monitor native resolution

I am operating Vista Ultimate on my set up, which has the Acer V203H monitor as the display hardware. My main problem with this whole configuration was, I cannot maximize the performance of the monitor to it's native resolution; 1600x900. Windows does not have it in their default display resolutions. The closest options that I have are; 1440x900 and 1680x1050!

I am very upset for this because I do not like the way it looks like. When I chose 1440x900, I can see parallel vertical lines across my monitor. If I select 1680x1050, the icons on my desktop will be compressed. Tried reinstalling my display driver, but still nothing change. I even installed PowerStrip with the hope that I can set my own custom resolution but too bad, I do not know how to use it. LOL..

Good enough for me, I am connected to the internet. Searched for the solutions online, and finally after "Google-ing" for ways to change the resolution, I ended in one super-useful forum. Followed the instructions given and finally, I managed to solve my problem. Now, I would like to share steps on how to do it.

1) Run regedt32 . It is the Registry Editor.

2) Go to { HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Video.... } and find " DALNonStandardModesBCD3 ".

*that's the one.

3) Right click on it, and choose to " Modify Binary Data... ". A small window as shown below should be popped up.

*note the binary value above the red line.

4) Change the underlined binary value '14 40 09 00' to '16 00 09 00'. (This will eliminate the 1440x900 resolution and change it to 1600x900).

* this is how it is suppose to be.

5) Click ok and reboot your system. Once the rebooting is done, go to your display resolution adjustment page. Now you should be able to see 1600x900 as shown below! Select the resolution and save .

* yea... now I can enjoy my monitor's native resolution.

KONAMI PES 2010 is amazing as what I expected. Although I just focused on the Be a Legend mode, I am really satisfied with the graphics and the gameplay. One thing missing from my set up is, I do not know how to turn on my gamepade's right analog stick. As the result, I cannot do any special moves that can be done by operating that stick. ( I'm using the Xbox 360 for PC controller)

The major improvement for PES 2010 is the graphics. From players, to the stadiums and spectators, everything has improved a lot. Look at the example below.

I have been playing the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series all this while until I got a feeling to try the newly released FIFA 2010 after being tempted by a friend of mine who keeps on talking about the graphics and player's controls. FIFA had introduced a better game play, smooth player movements, wide-range of match difficulties levels, and a few more new mods since the released of FIFA 09 but I never tried it out because of dissatisfactions with the previous issues.

In this game, users can choose to play a standard exhibition ( Kick Off mode ) with their chosen team. In this mode, ensure that the both match difficulties and goalkeeper levels are set to legendary, match length set to 10 minutes, and it is guaranteed that you will struggle to beat your opponent, but, please choose an opponent with a high team chemistry. FIFA boasted the users flexibility to adjust their team's set-pieces but I never really try it out so I do not have any comments to make for that.

Other than just playing the exhibitions games ( Kick Off mode ), users can bring their team to play in tournaments, or play in the manager mode.

Although FIFA 2010 provides a lot of modes to play in, my main interest is for the Virtual Pro. Here, users can select their favorite team and use an existed player in the team, or create a new player to play in the 'Kick Off' or in the 'Be a Pro'. In this mode, all you have to do is to control your chosen player through the game. Since the 'Kick Off' is just an exhibition mode, there will be no changes to your player's attributes, but, if you play in the 'Be a Pro' mode, for each match that you play, your player will gain match experiences by levels. Between the transition from level to level, you can boost your player's attributes by using the points given. The best thing is, you can concentrate on which attribute to improve first. The worst thing is, all player's development will stop at level 10 and, you will never be able to move to another club as how the PES 'Be a Legend' mode does. Haih....

One more thing, for every match that you play in the 'Be a Pro' mode, you will have player's and team's tasks to be done. Your match experiences will depends upon the completion of both tasks. Rewards points will be awarded for any matches that you play and can be used to unlock stuffs in the Fan Shop area.

Just for extra knowledge, for PC gamers, please do not be upset for the graphics as it is not up to the console's standard. I believe EA Sports will come out with the graphics patch someday. There are a lot more about this game that I have not discover yet.

So for my overall rating, FIFA 2010 is great to play if you want to experience a tough game, but I am disappointed with the graphic. At first, I can't even play the game at my monitor's resolution, but now I am playing at 1600x900 res. Just copy the codes below, edit with notepad to adjust the resolution setting, and save as 'locale.ini' in the game folder.

RESOLUTION = 1600x900x32

WINDOWED = 0

Now I am waiting for the release of PES 2010.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri for all of my Muslim friends.

Last week, while sitting around with a few of my batchmates chitchat-ing about any random things, I suddenly talked about the drawing/painting that I did a long time ago, since my kindergarten till the last time I hold the painting brush, which was during my SPM Art paper. Well, I took additional subject for my SPM since my uncle insisted that I do not have to study much to get an A. Pretty well, that's what he said, and that's what I got.

Back to the story, when I was in kindergarten, one of my classmate's bro came to visit him, and drew some funny vege-cartoon. Examples, red chilies and tomatoes with faces-hands-legs. It sounds stupid when I recalled back, but because of that funny cartoon, I developed my interest in such things. Well, I was just a small boy back then, when I looked at the cartoons, I wondered if I will be able to draw as he did too.

During my first year in primary school, which is about 15 years back, I made a good friend with a boy named Gabriel. One thing about this Gabriel, his father was working for a construction company, operating some tractors and trucks. Because of that, that friend of mine always draw all kind of tractors and trucks in class. I envied his drawing and tried to copy but I never end up with the same quality as we all know, drawing needs more than just talent. A lot of practices is required. Somehow, Gabriel left the school the next year because his family was moving somewhere else and until now I never see or heard of him anymore.

There was once during my last year in primary school, my teacher asked the whole class to draw futuristic vehicles. Mine was a spacecraft, designed for space exploration, and equipped with missiles for defence purposes, which make the vehicle as a combat-ready spacecraft. The drawing was hung in the classroom and I was so proud of it. My mistake, I forgotten to take it home before proceeded my studies to secondary school.

So in secondary school, a lot of things happened. Transformation period for an innocent boy into knowing more about life. One big change for me was, I started to have my own favorite band. Boybands were among the first one. During Form 1, I portrayed a band member of Westlife. Haha, what the hell, Westlife. It's funny when I think back of it. However, my best friend ruined the portrait though buy outlining the drawing with his gel pen.

In form 2, I painted a picture for my art paper during one of my school's examination. The art exam paper allowed students to choose which question to answer. I chose, "My worst nightmare". Most of my classmates painted themselves laying on the bed sleeping, with ghosts or demons surrounding them. Mine was different. I painted a view of a spooky graveyard, with a full moon surrounded by thick clouds shone onto the area. I was very satisfied with the painting, a good mixtures of colors made it looks alive. I kept the painting at home and I hope it is still there.

As I said earlier, the last time I hold a painting brush was during my SPM. Let me explained about the Art exam paper first. It was divided into 3 sub-papers. The first one is the multiple choice questionnaire, consists of 40 objective questions. This paper was mainly testing the Art theoretical knowledge of all the students. If I am not mistaken, this paper just contributes 10% of overall marking.

Paper 2, was mainly for testing the students' practical ability, in a way of testing the students' painting skills and qualities in a 3 hours examination time. This will give 40% of overall marking. I chose one of the question given, a view of coconuts, under the coconut tree, with a beach scenery background. Trust me, that was the only easiest option to paint. One good thing about this exam, the paper 2 questions set was given 2 or 3 weeks earlier for the students' preparations.

Paper 3 was the coursework. Students were given about a 3-6 months period to do complete this. If I am not mistaken, for paper 3, students can choose which question to be done but my school chose to standardize it. So, instead of choosing to do the challenging wood-carving coursework, we were told to do a simpler project, a banner. Sounds simple isn't it? But it was not that simple. There were a few steps that must be followed in order to accomplished this banner project. We had to make a scrapbook, full of drafts of our banner's layout with a complete descriptions of every particular things said in the scrapbook. For an example, the wording on the banner; what font to use, reasons to chose that font, colors of the wording, and the placement of the wording on the banner itself. I spent a very "good" few weeks for this.

Finally, it was time to finalize the banner. Owh yeah, it was so easy since I had every details in the scrapbook, but to be true, it wasn't! My banner design as per the scrapbook was a bit complicated. There, I made a mistake. Hahaha... For another few weeks, I struggled to finish my work. Lucky enough, I was staying in the hostel, so....there is a very nice, softly spoken, beautiful word that we all know as - JUNIORS. Heh heh.. I gathered a few juniors to help me finishing the banner. It was not about bullying them of course, I eventually helped by exposing them to the project. Who knows, they will do the same thing later on too. Hahahaha...

So, every hard works and time consumed for the project was well paid with an 'A' for my art paper. Since then, I never touch the painting brush or even the drawing block again.

iframe injection

Once again for the second times in this months, sarawakcrafts.com and and the forum has been injected by unwanted "iframe" codes. Lucky enough, after the first time going through the same situation, I am prepared for this attack.

After the first attack, I backup all the directories and files from the server and kept a copy in my PC. Thanks for being that, carrying the repair didn't take so much time as compared to the first time. Before, I have to download my sql databases, uninstalled the CMS ( Joomla! and SMF ), reinstalled those CMS, upload the saved sql databases, uploaded the template and reconfigured it and suffered major lost for some important files.

Now there is a possiblity for a third attack. And according to my sifu, tzywen, even the sql databases can be hacked. OMG, please not!

guitar and music

This is a link to a blog that I use for posting and sharing my interest in music with everyone. Equiped with my Morisson 2K/39C and an unknown model of Santa Cruz electric guitar, I play and sometimes compose my own song with ‘em. Since the guitar is the only musical instrument that I can use, I will try my best to master it. It still going to be a very long way to achieve that, but I am glad because at the moment, I realize that I am not doing that bad too.

I fall in love to music since I was very young. That time I did not know why I like it, but now I realize that music is; a medium for relaxation, a tool for spreading ideas, a motivation tool, and so on. There is a lot more about music that I still do not know yet I am very confident that without music, we do not really appreciate our ears’ abilities. I remember when I was around 8 or 9 years old, I saw someone playing the guitar. Even though I cannot recall the music that he played, I do remember that he ignited my curiousity of the guitar and from the time, I developed my own interest in that musical instrument. Luckily, my father and my elder brother know how to play the guitar but too bad, I never really learnt on how to do it through them but studied from basic guitar chords book instead.

Currently, I am undergoing a training for a aircrafts maintenance engineer license. Hardly to find myself some spare time to use for the purpose of recording a new song. There are a few that I already managed to make, but I do not have proper equipment for recording yet.

A silent but effectual war has been launched on alleged fear and intimidation of the traditional Dayak Selako and Dayak Lara communities in western Sarawak in fighting against violations of their human rights, especially indigenous land rights.

The communities have become 'victims of development' as lands they claim as rightfully theirs under native customary rights (NCR) have either been given to state agencies or private companies for logging or oil palm plantation and other development projects.

The Selako and Lara communities, numbering about 12,000 and regarded as among the smallest ethnic groups, are found only in the Lundu district to the west of Kuching, capital of Sarawak.

They are becoming increasing aware of their human rights, and are now active and vocal with the formation of a growing number of non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Through the NGOs, working closely with the Malaysian Human Rights Commission (Suhakam), they have been voicing their complaints about encroachment to their NCR land, damage and pollution to their water catchment areas and serious riverine siltation, among others.

A Suhakam commissioner, after a visit to various sites affected by environmental degradation following continuous logging and plantation activities, said: "Development is supposed to make life better. Instead, it is making life worse for the villagers."

Logging at Gunong Pueh and Gunong Gading has been going on unabated for a long time - since 1963 when Malaysia was formed. There is stark evidence to show degradation to the environment, with the most obvious being two rivers - Perunggang and Semapu - which have suffered from serious siltation and a water catchment area to feed nearby villages.

"Sungai Perunggang which used to be five feet deep has almost dried up, and it has affected even an important source of protein with the fishes disappearing," Suhakam commissioner Prof Hamdan Adnan told accompanying reporters after a visit to Lundu recently at the invitation of a local non-governmental organisation (NGO), the Peruggang-Stukit Land Action Committee.

Angry and frustrated

At a dialogue session in Kampung Keranji, Ketua Kampung Singking anak Tagoh of Kampung Serayan Ulu told Hamdan and another Suhaman commissioner Dr Hirman Ritom Abdullah from Sarawak that "because of hillside logging, trees are dead, animals are dead, rivers are dead and I think soon we will all be dead."

Speaking in an angry and frustrated tone, the 63-year-old Selako village chief who said he was prepared to lose his position for speaking out against the authorities, appealed for all logging activities to be stopped immediately to avoid a further degradation of the environment and causing more hardships to the local people.

The Suhakam commissioners were invited by the Perunggang-Stukit Land Action Committee, headed by Rahman Matu, the Kampung Keranji deputy chief, which has a population of about 250 people.

During the dialogue, attended by about 50 people from 14 Dayak Selako and Dayak Lara villages in Lundu, Rahman announced that a Perunggang-Stukit Bureau headed by him had been formed to defend their human rights, especially their rights to property, sources of livelihood from the land and to ensure security in the area.

He explained that the bureau would act as a bridge between the villages and the authorities and companies issued with either logging permits or leases for oil palm plantation in order to find amicable solutions to existing problems.

According to Rahman, several ketua kampung (village chiefs) and representatives from the 14 villages had met on April 15 and agreed that each kampung would send 10 representatives to the dialogue with Suhakam commissioners.

However, it is learnt that many ketua kampung and others had stayed away for fear they might lose their positions if they were seen as going against the government on the NCR and development issues.

Company pulled out

In their struggle for their lands, many of the villagrs had warned plantation companies against encroachment by erecting signs on their NCR land along main roads.

One, in Bahasa Malaysia, read : Kami minta pemaju memberhentikan penerokaan di kawasan kami degan segera (We request the developer to stop land clearance activities on our land immediately)

It is believed that a joint venture company, Sara HL Plantations Sdn Bhd, involving the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) and a Johor-based group of investors had already stopped their activities and pulled out from the site at the end of last year.

The Johor investors are now said to be interested in negotiating directly with the NCR landowners, after a group of Selako NCR landowners filed a court action to seek a court declaration to annul the 60-year lease issued by the state government. Their lawyers are asking for a court injunction to stop all land activities. The court has set May 18 for the hearing.

Another sign, erected by a NCR landowner calling himself Dr Lorend, said: Pemaju tidak debindar kan meduroka tanah ataupun damun jikalau tidak ada pempasan atau bayaran atas tanaman dan tanah kami (Developer is not permitted to clear land or trees without making any compensation or payment for crops and our land - Dr Lorend)

A total of 14 Dayak Selako and Dayak Lara villages are effected by either logging or plantation activities that also involve government agencies mostly in joint ventures with private companies.
They are Keranji, Serayan Ulu, Serayan Hilir, Semapu, Judin, Sebako, Sebiris, Tubaro, Jempari, Sedamak, Sedaying, Tanjam, Opek and Jangkat.

Silip Jahiri, a representative of Kampung Sebako, urged Suhakam to use its office to call on the state government to carry out an urgent survey of NCR land to avoid continuing conflicts on the ground.

Ketua Kaum Bakar ak Tijor of Kampung Sedaying in Lundu-Biawak Road said inspite of the areas around the villages having been declared protected forest by the government in 1952, companies had taken over a large area for oil palm plantations in recent years.

The estate is right at the door-steps of Kampung Sedaying, and KK Bakar claimed the villagers have no idea at all about what was going on.

"We've never been consulted nor have we benefitted in any way from it. The estate is said to employ mostly Indonesian workers."

A sign-board outside the entrance to the estate reads: Ladang Abadi Utama Sdn Bhd, Jangkar Realty Sdn Bhd, Sykt Ladang Dafa Sdn Bhd , PO Box 6, 94507, Lundu, Sarawak

Villagers told malaysiakini the plantation companies first moved into the area nearly 10 years and have already harvested the fruits and are expanding the acreages "causing much concern and anxiety among our people."

Suhakam wants dialogue

Hamdan said after the site visit that the authorities should require developers not only to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies but also Social Impact Assessment (SIA) studies before granting any lease or permit for any land-related project.

The land should also be properly demarcated before leases are issued, he added.
Hamdan said Suhakam would call for a dialogue between the villagers and the various state government agencies and departments to find out exactly what is happening and to try and resolve some of the problems presently troubling the villagers.

Under the Malaysian Human Rights Commission Act, Suhakam could compel government agencies or departments to attend and obtain the necessary information and co-operation to deal with any complaints on human rights violations.

He said Suhakam was concerned about the quality of life which had been affected by new development activities on the ground.

"As it is, the quality of life (of the villagers) has grown from bad to worse," he commented, adding that it appeared they were getting 'a raw deal' without much of the basic facilities being provided to them.

He said during the dialogue at Kampung Keranji five issues were raised, including the right to property, the need to protect people's livelihood, logging activities and the rights to compensation for loss of income and crops.
"What we're witnessing is what could be described as a plundering of their property, and sadly it is seen to be continuing," Hamdan told reporters.

* I do not really know how much things had changed over there for this past few years. All that I can recall was clearance of lands and expanding palm oil estates. The hills were also losing their green woods. I wonder how bad is it at the moment. *

I had been enjoying a few of English Premier League games last weekend. Chelsea vs Hull City, Arsenal vs Everton, Man Utd vs Birmingham and Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspurs. Thanks a lot to Tzywen for giving me the link to this great streaming TV channels list. All I have to do is just download and install either Sopcast or PPStream in my PC. Then through this site, I just search for the channel which play my game of favor. Now I found the new way to maximize my streamyx usage.

So, I think I will just spend my weekends in front of my PC!!

Smoking is unhealthy. Yea, everyone knows that. Even heavy smokers admited that it is very bad for their health. The only problem is they just can't simply quit from it. It's not easy.

Talking about smoking, I read a very interesting report on the star today. Here it goes;

> The daily also reported how a Form Four student in Langkawi almost fainted after he was forced to smoke 42 sticks of clove cigarettes by the boarding school’s warden who is also the teacher.

He was being punished that way after the teacher had found a stick of cigarette in the student’s drawer.

Mohd Alif Arifin, 16, was brought to the staff room and was forced to smoke all the cigarettes while being watched by a few teachers.

His lips allegedly turned bluish and his saliva was dripping, the paper claimed.

He claimed the teacher did not allow him to drink even though he complained that he was thirsty and kept on forcing him to finish all the cigarettes in four hours.

A police report was lodged by the student’s uncle at the Kuah police headquarters.

Based on the report, I totally disappointed by the way the teachers took their action primitively. Eventhough the student did against the rules by smoking in the hostel, the punishment upon him was truly an act of idiots. A few teachers were there, watching and forcing him to finish packs of cigarettes without giving him any chance to drink at all for hours! What the hell were the teachers thought of? Wanna kill the student slowly is it?

I pity the student for this case although he was wrong too for breaking the rules. The teachers? Really annoyed and sick of their action. There are many other punishment that they can choose but why torturing was their choice?

Can we say the teachers in this report are idiots? Can we say the student is an idiot too? ( well, rules are meant to be followed. )

So, idiots teaching an idiot. I wonder what the result gonna be.

How to burn excessive fat la dey?

This evening I went to LakeView park in Subang Jaya with my housemate, Tan. The weather was very nice, good for a walk out. Planned to go jogging there, I ended up with just walking, but at a faster pace. Huhu.. I lost my stamina, maybe due to my current weight and lack of exercise. Walked for 4 complete round is not that bad anyway, isn't it? At least I burn some fat. LOL

Extended Twin-Engines Operations.

Attended the course for two days already, and I gained a better understanding. ETOPS is all about the the operation of twin-engined aircrafts over the route which has a point further than 60 minutes flying time (60-minutes rule) from a diversion airport. FAA came out with this rule in 1953. It restricted the operation of two-engined aircrafts to just in the 60-minutes flying zone. This means, only tri- or quad- engined aircrafts can fly beyond this restriction.

The reason for making this rule is simple, for safety purposes. It is to make sure that the twin-engined aircrafts can make a succesfull touchdown at any airport within the 60-minutes ring in case of one inoperative engine situation.

As the time flies, improvement in propulsion system has occured greatly leading to better and more reliable engines. Since operating tri- or quad-engined aircrafts in long haul sectors are costly, aviation authorities look into the possibilty of allowing twin-engined aircrafts to fly further than the 60 minutes restriction. Why not? Better engines anyway and operation cost can be reduced. By early 1980s, 120 minutes rules were implemented. To achieve the high safety level of flight for twin-engined aircrafts operation, modifications on existing aircrafts were carried out so that the aircrafts is fit to meet the 120mins ETOPS requirement. Other than that, developement of new widebody twin-engined aircrafts such as B777 and A330 has been done for ETOPS-ready productions.

Operation and maintenance practices becomes more strict to ensure the fitness of the aircrafts for ETOPS.

First game of their Asia Tour. Man Utd were playing under the jetlag conditon. Expected to crush down Malaysia XI in front of about 85000 spectators in the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, the 08-09 EPL Champion took on their lead by Wayne Rooney's rebound strike and a clinical finishing by Nani after a lovely passing football.

2 goals difference maintained until a stunning long ball effort by Amri Yahya giving the national team a space to breathe. Amri received the ball straight from the goal kick after Patrice Evra misjudged the long pass. He controlled the ball nicely, and strike a fine volley without waiting for the ball to touch the ground after noticing Van der Sar is off position.

Man Utd did a few substitutions after the break time. One of the sub, Ben Foster faced his most embarrasing night for letting Amri scored the equaliser easily. He was unable to control the back pass from Darren Gibson and Amri took that chance nicely, clinched his second goal of the game.

The national team was almost celebrating a historical draw against the Red Devils but Micheal Owen blown their hopes away. The new signing struck a calm finishing to give Man Utd their Asia Tour first-game win. And if you all realize, this is the only goal that the devils celebrated gratefully. They took our national team's challenge for granted and paid for the 2 goals from Amri Yahya. Everyone knows that it was just a friendly match but everyone wants to see them to play at their full potential too.

Anyway, Man Utd will be playing the same opponent again tomorrow after canceling their trip to Jakarta. Hope they will play like how a champion does, and hope that our boys will do their best too. Malaysia Boleh! and Glory, Glory Man Utd..

As usual, when one of your friend discover a new application on facebook, you'll tend to be drifted altogether. Same goes with me, currently addicted to play 'FarmTown' after being introduced to it by Mahan.

Just like it's name, FarmTown offers you nothing else to enjoy in the gameplay other than farming. Plow empty fields, sow any seeds that you would like to plant, and wait till it grow up to harvesting stage. When you harvest your crops, you can choose either to sell it right away, or you can keep it in your storage and sell it later on. Other than that, instead of doing the harvesting all by yourself, you can hire someone else to do it for you. By doing this, you can save your time for your next planting cycle. When the person is harvesting your crops, don't just wait there. Straight away plow the harvested field. Other than having the time advantage, by hiring someone else for the job, your harvested crops will have an increment of 25% of their value when you sell it in the marketplace. The person that you hire will be paid for each field that they harvest. It's a win-win deal for for both of you.

As you can see from the picture above, I only planted grapes in my farm. Grapes is the fastest plant to grow up in this game. It just take 4 hours to complete the growth cycle. Eventhough grapes have the lowest value in the marketplace, by being able to harvest it 4-5 times a day will give you almost the same profit if compared to some other plants. Currently, I am having a total of 384 fields of grapes in my farm. It gives me a revenue of 26k of coins ( farmtown currency ) per harvesting session. Anybody that I hire to harvest these fields will get approx 5k coins.

The coins that you get from your sold crops can be spent in the store. Just get whatever that you want such as seeds, trees, flowers, buildings, animals and so on. If you choose to keep it and spend it later on, expanding your farm is the best option. At the moment, the size of my farm is 16x16.

Currently, after being bored of playing chess online, I found something more fun for myself which is playing the football managing game. It is totally a different game if compared to the one I played last time because for this version, it is much more simpler if compared to FM09 or FM08 and more important, I'm joining in an online league. Which means, my opponents are real human, not a BOT.

This game is so simple. All you have to do is just set your team formation, choose the best player that you have for each position, set your gameplay tactics, and just wait for the match. Normally everyday there will be two matches played for each team at 0300 and 1500 managerleague.com time. ( 0900 and 2100 local time at +8GMT)

During the weekends, no league match will be played but each team can participate in custom cup matches with the knock-out rules. Each team is limited to join one custom cup on Saturday and another one on Sunday. Friendly matches can be played at any time provided your team has enough credits, and sufficient fit players including your subtitutions for the match.

Players will go through a normal training session in between the league matches. Unfortunately, during weekends, normal training session will be not avaiable but managers can arrange a training camp locally or overseas for their team. Outcome from training definitely will be increment in attributes for each players, which also can be gained trough matches. So the more matches that your team plays, the faster your players becoming better.

Pagi itu pagi minggu. Cuaca cukup sejuk sehingga mencapai takatsuhu beku. Sebab itu saya tidak mandi pagi sebab air kolah jadi air batudan air paip tidak mahu keluar sebab beku di dalam batang paip. Pagi itusaya bersarapan dengan keluarga di dalam unggun api kerana tidak tahansejuk. Selepas itu emak saya mengajak saya menemaninya ke pasar. Tetapi saya tidak mahu. Selepas emak menikam perut saya berkali-kali dengan garfu barulahsaya bersetuju untuk mengikutnya. Kami berjalan sejauh 120 kilometerkerana pasar itu letaknya 128 kilometer dari rumah. Lagi 8 kilometer nak sampai pasar saya ternampak sebuah lori kontena meluru dengan laju dariarah belakang.

Dia melanggar emak saya. Emak saya tercampak ke dalam gaung. Dia menjerit "Adoi!". Lepas itu emak saya naik semula dan mengejar lori tersebut. Saya pun turut berlari di belakang emak saya kerana takut emaksaya melanggar lori itu pula. Pemandu lori itu nampak kami mengejarnya.Dia pun memecut lebih laju iaitu sama dengan kelajuan cahaya. Kami pula terpaksa mengejar dengan lebih laju iaitu sama dengan dua kali ganda kelajuan cahaya. Emak saya dapat menerajang tayar depan lori itu. Lori itu terbabas dan melanggar pembahagi jalan lalu bertembung dengan sebuah feri. Feri itu terbelah dua.

Penumpang feri itu yang seramai 100 orang semuanya mati. Pemandu feri itu sangat marah. Dia pun bertukar menjadi Ultraman dan memfire pemandu lori. Pemandu lori menekan butang khas di dalam lori dia..lori itu bertukar menjadi robot Transformer. Mereka bergaduh di udara. Emak saya tidak puas hati. Dia pun terus menyewa sebuah helikopter di Genting Highlands dan terus ke tempat kemalangan. Dia melanggar pemandu feri yang telah bertukar menjadi Ultraman itu.

Pemandu feri itu terkejut dan terus bertukar menjadi pemandu feri semula lalu terhempas ke jalan raya. Pemandu feri itu pecah. Pemandu lori sangat takut melihat kejadian itu. Dia meminta maaf dari emak saya. Dia menghulurkan tangan ingin bersalam. Tetapi emak saya masih marah. Diamenyendengkan helikopternya dan mengerat tangan pemandu lori itu dengankipas helikopter. Pemandu lori itu menjerit "Adoi..!" dan jatuh ke bumi.Emak saya menghantar helikopter itu ke Genting Highlands. Bila dia balik ke tempat kejadian, dia terus memukul pemandu lori itu dengan beg tangannya sambil memarahi pemandu lori itu di dalam bahasa Inggeris.

Dia membuat lapuran ke ibu pejabatnya tentang kemalangan ngeriitu. Semua anggota polis di pejabat polis itu terperanjat lalu mati. Orang ramai mengerumuni tempat kejadian kerana ingin mengetahui apa yang telah terjadi. Polis yang bertugas cuba menyuraikan orang ramai lalu dia menjerit menggunakan pembesar suara. Orang ramai terperanjat dan semuanya mati.

Selepas itu emak saya mengajak saya ke pasar untuk mengelak lebih ramai lagi yang akan mati. Di pasar, emak saya menceritakan kejadian itu kepada penjual daging. Penjual daging dan peniaga-peniaga berhampiranyang mendengar cerita itu semuanya terkejut dan mati. Saya dan emak saya terus berlari balik ke rumah. Kerana terlalu penat sebaik saja sampai dirumah kami pun mati. Itulah kemalangan yang paling ngeri yang pernah saya lihat sebelum saya mati.

When Dragonball the movie was released a couple of weeks ago, I was so excited to watch it. Since I'm not interested of going to cinema, I waited patiently for the anti-copyright release. :p

At last, I watched it. Damn the movie is sucks. Goku in high school? NO WAY! Too much alteration was introduced in the movie and the story line is totally away from what I read from one of the best manga ever written except for the dragonball hunt.

This photo was taken during our class reunion. It was a camping full of bbqs with almost all of my ex-classmates gathered there at Sematan beach. We were 16 by that time. It was called the reunion because not all of us in the photo stayed in same school to study anymore. Like Herman and me, we left to a different school, Donald and Amirul, left for a technical school..

Stuck at level 87. Really slow to level up now plus the connection to the server is not good as well. Hmmmm.... went to Lowyat Plaza just now and bought something from there....unpredictable, unplanned..

Well, forgot to announce that I am done with my on-job-training at KLIA.. Yea... no more alarm on 0400, routine back to normal, but, I know I gonna miss the working environment there. Just, I really hate the traveling part. Roughly spent 3 hours on traveling alone including waiting for the transportation. Dude... I think I have a life too..

I was informed that I gonna be working in the old hangar again, at line 3, for a couple of weeks I think.

Currently, this is the game that I play, an MMORPG. As a beginner, my level 50 is still way too far from the rest. In the gameworld, I started at Arkijah Town, and slowly exploring the world map. My character is a warrior, so grouping with healers is always the best choice. Give them protections, and they heal me while I'm in a battle.

Arkijah Town. This is my starting point. To gain experience for leveling up and hunting for both experience and money, I can travel anywhere around the town and 360deg surrounding areas..

Pulau Sembilan. That was the place where I spent half of my CNY leaves for a true memorable fishing trip as it was my first time fishing experience on a boat. Eight of us plus two boatmen traveled across the sea to the surrounding islands around Pangkor, just for one mission, fish hunting. Here are the photos from this trip..

I have just came back from a long holiday back in my hometown. It was such a great time that I had there, for a peaceful and calm environment which I was longing for. Fresh water from the nearby mountain flows directly to houses giving crystal clear water for daily usage. Remember, the water is very cold.

IT'S A DESERVED 3-0 WIN FOR mAN uTD AGAINST cHELSEA.
